Sally Farmiloe-NevilleSally Farmiloe-Neville died peacefully on Tuesday aged 60, surrounded by her family.

The actress, who first became famous in the BBCTV 1985-1990 series Howard's Way, had fought a long battle against Breast Cancer, which finally spread to her liver and bones. However that didn't deter her from living life to the full. She was always on the red carpet, or with a glass of Champagne, looking cheerful and glamorous, even as Chemotherapy changed her hairstyle, but not her cheeky smile.

Sally was always organising an event. From book launches to charity fundraisers, latterly for the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she was a regular patient at the receiving end of superb care, and Yes To Life. Raymond Blanc's temple of gastronomic excellence, Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons at Great Milton near Oxford, the country house he bought in 1983, has been the ultimate achievement of a gifted Frenchman earning him two Michelin stars and five AA stars.He arrived from France in Dover in 1972, speaking little English, and headed for The Rose Revived in Newbridge Oxfordshire, where he worked as a Chef and married the owner's daughter.

The charismatic Celebrity Chef has died suddenly a week ago in Auckland City Hospital from Leukemia at 46, following diagnosis a year ago. A bone marrow transplant led to a fatal infection.

He spent twenty years in London, becoming a household name on TV with the series Ready Steady Cook. He returned to his native New Zealand in 2010 to judge the first Masterchef series. He had almost completed his Masters Degree on Maori Studies.

A former model, he lit up the room with his mischievous personality and charm. Compassionate and generous, Ross Burden will be very much missed by all his friends and followers.
