JONATHAN SHALIT CELEBRATES HIS OBE

Professor Jonathan Shalit was awarded an OBE, for services to the entertainment industry, by The Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace. The 51 year old Entertainment Impresario went on to celebrate with his family and friends, hosting a starry Champagne Party at Avenue Restaurant opposite St James's Palace.

The Chairman of Roar Global talent agency thanked his wife Katrina very warmly as well as his family, friends, clients and his team for all their support, which has made his success possible. LYNSEY DE PAUL DIES OF SUSPECTED BRAIN HAEMORRHAGE

Singer songwriter Lynsey de Paul has died aged 64 in a London Hospital on Wednesday of a suspected brain haemorrhage, after complaining of severe headaches. Her many friends and admirers were in shock at the news.

The star used her distinctive voice to score a number of top 20 hits including 'Sugar Me' in 1972, which went to number 5 in the charts. The singer teamed up with Mike Moran to enter 'Rock Bottom' in the Eurovision Song contest in 1977 and came second. The prolific songwriter was the first woman to win the Ivor Novello Songwriting Award with 'Won't Somebody Dance With Me'.

RICHARD CARING SELLS WENTWORTH TO THE CHINESE

Richard Caring has sold Wentworth Golf Club, one of Britain's most famous courses and home to the Annual PGA Tournament, to Chinese firm, Beijing based Reignwood Investments for £135 million. He bought it in 2004 for £130 million to perfect his swing, and will stay on as a non-executive director.

The charismatic billionaire Mayfair Restaurateur was a keen golfer until a shoulder injury stopped him playing.
